ABOUT THE FOUNDER:

Pastor Overstreet started this ministry in 1983.  After he completed his studies at Holmes Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina, he embarked on his mission to plant churches, spending the first term in Costa Rica, and the second term in Belize.  His mission has grown, with 40 Churches being planted in five Central American countries.  Mission de Santidad Cristiana, was  left in the capable hands of a National Ordained Missionary and Church planter, Reverend Alexis Dixon.  Reverend Dixon and his wife, Deborah, have labored diligently for Christ.  The National Pastors of Costa Rica say it's time for a Pastoral Training Center in the area.  This would allow the men and women of Costa Rica that have felt the call into Pastoral Ministry, a chance to receive the proper training and to prepare them to become leaders of the many more Churches that could be planted if they had the proper leadership. Brother Overstreet has always had a missions heart, even while Pastoring in the United States.  This strong faith has lead him in the direction of building the Pastoral Training Center in Costa Rica.  He hopes you catch the vision with him as he steps out by faith and starts yet another work for Christ and His Church.

News letter from Costa Rica

January 2010

Good afternoon
I trust this note finds you doing well!
I hope you had a very good New Year and that your resolutions were doable. Mine is a simple one this year, to just keep on going everyday, to take life as it comes and deal with one problem at a time.
We had 3 different groups for Jan 2010 I am attaching pics of only 2 though. I don't have pics of the Ladies group from the World Missionary Movement (M.M.M.) About 60 ladies who took almost all our flowering plants, and all our Limes, Lemons and Oranges. But, they really enjoyed themselves!!!
We also had Sister Norma's group from San Jose, a group of Baptist youth. I am always happy to have them a very nice church and well mannered people.
Also, we had a group of visiting missionaries from the central US, who came to help a local Church in some construction, they also brought gifts to the children of the Church (items for school and such). A mixed group of both men and women, none were afraid to get their hands dirty. They also worked with the children and visited some of the local churches.
It was a blessing for me to have them here, for I was able to speak English for a change. We also had a big eruption from our close by Volcano Turrialba, look it up on the Internet if you would like, lots of info.
I request you prayers for myself and the ministry here, I am afraid it is going to be a tough year.
God bless you
Ivey Overstreet
